Recap: Pine Crest Panthers vs. David Posnack Jewish Day Rams

The Pine Crest Panthers were the 50-42 winner over the David Posnack Jewish Day Rams when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Pine Crest fell just short of the Rams by a score of 59-57. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

Despite the defeat, Pine Crest saw an underclassman step up: Rowan Hoffman scored 21 points along with six rebounds and two blocks. That was a full 36.8% of Pine Crest's points, marking the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Dylan Wigoda was another key contributor, scoring ten points.

Pine Crest's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for David Posnack Jewish Day, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pine Crest won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on January 25th. Hopefully Palmer Trinity focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 last Monday. As for David Posnack Jewish Day, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Donna Klein Jewish Academy's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four games.
