The Horizon Hawks's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Evans Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Last Friday, Horizon didn't have quite enough to beat Forest and fell 21-19.

Despite their loss, Horizon saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Kaio Oliveira, who rushed for 186 yards and a touchdown, was perhaps the best of all. With that strong performance, Oliveira is now averaging an impressive 116.2 rushing yards per game. Another player making a difference was Emmanuel Blackwell, who gained 78 total yards and a touchdown.

Horizon wouldn't let Forest keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Horizon can thank Blake Mottley and Holden Kubitz for forcing both of them. Kubitz is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made six or more in the last four games he's played dating back to last season. Another thorn in Forest's side was Nicholas Grantz, who made ten total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Even though they lost, Horizon was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 218 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Evans made easy work of Poinciana on Friday and carried off a 49-28 win.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Evans to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cameron Oliver, who rushed for 184 yards on only 11 carries, and also picked up 86 receiving yards. Backing up that air attack was Li'Darious Pryor, who rushed for 160 yards.

Horizon's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Evans, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
