The Encina Bulldogs will head out on the road to challenge the Futures Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Encina is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
Last Friday, Encina came up short against John Adams Academy Rsvl/Lin and fell 48-41.

Despite their defeat, Encina saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Phillip Worsham, who posted eight points along with 11 steals and five assists, was perhaps the best of all. Worsham is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last six games he's played. Nathaniel Wroten was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds.
Even though they lost, Encina smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive boards in six consecutive matchups.
Victory Christian typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Futures proved too difficult a challenge. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Vikings 48-45. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knights.
Encina better keep an eye on Anthoni Moore. He was instrumental in Futures' win, almost dropping a double-double on 27 points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was Elijah Lewis, who scored 12 points.
Futures has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a massive bump to their 11-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.1 points per game. As for Encina, their loss dropped their record down to 4-10.
Encina was dealt a bruising 76-39 defeat at the hands of Futures in their previous meeting on January 3rd. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Moore, who dropped a triple-double on 35 points, ten rebounds, and ten steals. Now that Encina knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
