Softball Recap: Brown County Takes a Loss

Brown County entered their game against North Putnam on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Eagles fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 3-1. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Brown County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Sanders, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Aryn Fish- Murphy also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

The defeat was their first at home , dropping their record down to 3-2. As for North Putnam, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 4-0.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Brown County will challenge rival Owen Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, North Putnam is set to square off against their familiar foe Sullivan at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
