Basketball Recap: Lee Williams Snaps Seven-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Lee Williams's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They took down the Mohave Thunderbirds 45-30. For the Volunteers, this counts as revenge for the 51-43 win the Thunderbirds walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

Lee Williams' victory ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-12. As for Mohave, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lee Williams has already played their next matchup (against Mingus), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Mohave Thunderbirds challenge the Agua Fria Owls at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
