Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Windsor couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 53-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mullen Mustangs on Friday. The Wizards' loss signaled the end of their 16-game winning streak.

When it comes to explaining why Windsor lost, don't look at Reyleigh Hess. Despite the final result, she posted 14 points and eight boards. Hess has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played. Another player making a difference was Gracie Worlsey, who earned 12 points and seven rebounds.

Mullen got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Makenzie Jones out in front who went 7-for-16 to rack up 15 points and eight boards. Tatum Jones was another key player, shooting 63% from the field en route to 12 points and seven rebounds.

Windsor suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 21-5. As for Mullen, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-9.

Windsor does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mullen, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 44-30 victory against Mead on the 13th.
