Baseball Recap: Ogemaw Heights Comes Up Short

Ogemaw Heights lost against Cass City on Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Falcons fell just short of the Red Hawks by a score of 6-4. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ogemaw Heights got a good showing from Noah Tomczak, who pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. That's the fewest earned runs Tomczak has allowed since back in April.

At the plate, Ogemaw Heights saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Angel Potter, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. Jace Peters also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Ogemaw Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Cass City, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record this season.

Ogemaw Heights will challenge Gladwin at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Cass City does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
