Softball Recap: Nordonia Takes a Loss

Nordonia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ellet Orangemen.

Nordonia saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kirra Smeal, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one run and one double. Brooke Becker also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Nordonia's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Ellet, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 12-3.

Looking ahead, Nordonia will face off against Wadsworth at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Ellet, they will challenge Highland at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
