Soccer Game Preview: Chapin vs. Horizon

The Chapin Huskies will face off against the Horizon Scorpions at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Horizon took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Chapin, who comes in off a win.

Chapin headed into their last contest having not scored more than one goal for four straight, but Bel Air let them put that streak behind them. The Huskies never let the Highlanders get on the board and left with a 5-0 win on Saturday. Chapin have beaten Bel Air the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest Bel Air has come to flipping the script.

Meanwhile, Horizon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 9-0 to El Paso. While losing is never fun, Horizon can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 567th, while El Paso are ranked 144th).

Chapin's victory bumped their record up to 5-3-2. As for Horizon, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.

Everything went Chapin's way against Horizon in their previous matchup last Thursday, as Chapin made off with a 7-0 win. Will the Huskies repeat their success, or do the Scorpions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
