Basketball Recap: Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest Takes a Loss

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat. They were beaten by the Rowe Warriors 74-37. While losing is never fun, the Javelinas can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1570th, while the Warriors are ranked 329th).

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest's loss dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Rowe, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Pioneer the next time they take the court. Rowe will host Pioneer at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on January 31st.
