Volleyball Recap: Mount Paran Christian Continues Road Dominance on Thursday

Mount Paran Christian won the last time they faced Harrison and things went their way on Thursday too. The Eagles walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Hoyas.

Mount Paran Christian never let Harrison on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 27-25, 25-16.

Harrison's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Addison Cooley, who had 13 digs and three assists, and Taryn Musca, who had four assists and three digs. Cooley has been hot recently, having posted 13 or more digs the last three times she's played. Tatum Urquhart also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Mount Paran Christian pushed their record up to 3-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Harrison, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season.

Coincidentally, Mount Paran Christian and Harrison will both be playing Cherokee the next time they take the court. The Eagles will head out to face the Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Hoyas will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
