Willems came up big in Bucklin's 7-6 win
While Thursday's win was certainly a team effort, someone pulling more than their own weight was underclassman Jack Willems. Kinsley had no answer to Willems on Thursday as he went 2-for-4 with a home run, five RBI, and a stolen base.
Willems and Bucklin have the luxury of staying home for another game and will welcome Elkhart at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bucklin has some work to do to even out the 1-8 series between these two since May of 2019, but a win here would be a good start.
