Basketball Recap: Sacramento Takes a Loss

Sacramento lost against Weston Ranch back in January of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Sacramento Dragons fell 69-61 to the Weston Ranch Cougars. The Dragons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

It was another big night for Darrion Lilly, who dropped a double-double with 26 points and 13 rebounds for Weston Ranch. Lilly has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Fransua Senegal was another key player, putting up eight points.

Sacramento's defeat dropped their record down to 15-11. As for Weston Ranch, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-11 record this season.

Coming up, Sacramento will take on Rodriguez at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Rodriguez's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games. As for Weston Ranch, they will be playing at home against Franklin at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Weston Ranch's favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home while Franklin has been banged up by ten consecutive losses on the road.
