Basketball Recap: Gehlen Catholic Takes a Loss

Gehlen Catholic was the 29-27 winner over Akron-Westfield when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Gehlen Catholic Jays took a 46-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Akron-Westfield Westerners on Tuesday.

Gehlen Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Akron-Westfield, their win bumped their record up to 10-8.

Gehlen Catholic has already played their next game (against Alta-Aurelia), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Akron-Westfield will be playing at home against Hinton at 6:00 p.m. on February 4th. Hinton will roll in looking for their 18th straight victory, something Akron-Westfield surely won't give up without a fight.
