Baseball Game Preview: Center Point Pirates vs. Medina Bobcats

The Center Point Pirates are taking a road trip to square off against the Medina Bobcats at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Center Point is leaving town to face Medina after disappointing their home crowd in their season opener. Center Point came up short against Brackett on Tuesday, falling 14-3. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Center Point saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayden Segura, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Medina lost 22-3 to New Braunfels Thunder on Tuesday.

Center Point took their win against Medina in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 16-6. The rematch might be a little tougher for Center Point since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
