Tabernacle had lost three games at home, but after bumping their record up to 2-6 on Friday that streak is in the rearview. They skirted past the Tuscaloosa Home Educators Warriors 8-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Torches have posted since February 29, 2024.

As for Tuscaloosa Home Educators, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 13 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. They just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

For Tuscaloosa Home Educators' part, Jackson Sodergren put in work while hitting and pitching. He tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits Sodergren has allowed since back in March. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Sodergren wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Shelton Milligan, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. Dan Mancil was another, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs.

As of now, neither Tabernacle nor Tuscaloosa Home Educators have any future games scheduled.
