Baseball Game Preview: Norwalk Warriors vs. Ankeny Centennial Jaguars

Norwalk hasn't had much luck against Ankeny Centennial recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Warriors are taking a road trip to square off against the Jaguars at 7:00 p.m.

Norwalk is headed into Monday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Friday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Dallas Center-Grimes. The shutout was out of character for the Warriors seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in May.

Meanwhile, Ankeny Centennial had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They beat the Bombers by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 3-2.

Ankeny Centennial pushed their record up to 13-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Norwalk, they now have a losing record of 11-12.
