Football Game Preview: Blanche Ely Tigers vs. Plantation Colonels + Official Tickets

The Blanche Ely Tigers will head out on the road to take on the Plantation Colonels at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Blanche Ely has given up an average of 28.1 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Blanche Ely managed to slip by Chaminade-Madonna the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Tigers were outmatched by the Lions and fell 60-0. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 115th, while the Lions are ranked third).

Meanwhile, in a tight matchup that could have gone either way, Plantation made off with a 28-27 win over Archbishop McCarthy.

Blanche Ely better keep an eye on Zachariah Ray. He was instrumental in Plantation's win, rushing for 112 yards and one score on only 12 carries, while also picking up 35 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Plantation has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. As for Blanche Ely, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Blanche Ely came out on top in a nail-biter against Plantation when the teams last played back in October of 2024, sneaking past 18-16. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Ray, who rushed for 151 yards and one TD while picking up 8.4 yards per carry.
