Basketball Recap: Sayville's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Sayville lost against Kings Park back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Sayville Golden Flashes took a 55-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Kings Park Kingsmen.

Kings Park's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Gianna Zawol led the charge by going 8 of 19 en route to 24 points along with five boards and five steals. The matchup was Zawol's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Emily Clemens was another key player, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds.

Sayville's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 2-2. As for Kings Park, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 13-3.

Sayville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Kings Park, they will square off against Islip at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kings Park is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.8 points per game this season.
