Baseball Game Preview: Rancho Dominguez Lobos vs. Gardena Panthers

Rancho Dominguez is on a four-game streak of home losses, and Gardena a four-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Wednesday. The Rancho Dominguez Lobos will be playing in front of their home fans against the Gardena Panthers at 3:00 p.m. Rancho Dominguez has given up an average of 7 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Rancho Dominguez couldn't beat Rolling Hills Prep on Tuesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the sixth inning. The Lobos lost 15-7 to the Huskies.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Gardena faced off against Mendez two weeks ago. The Panthers fell just short of the Jaguars by a score of 4-3.

Juan Castellanos was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. Another player making a difference was Angel Sanchez, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Gardena's defeat dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Rancho Dominguez, they now have a losing record of 7-8.
