Recap: Concord Minutemen vs. Plymouth Pilgrims/Rockies

The Concord Minutemen entered their tilt with the Plymouth Pilgrims/Rockies with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Concord came out on top against Plymouth by a score of 59-49 on Thursday. This was payback for Concord, who suffered a 52-38 loss the last time these two teams met.

Concord's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Dominique Stilley led the charge by scoring 18 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Shelby Emerick, who scored 12 points along with seven assists and three steals.

Despite the loss, Plymouth still got an impressive performance from Lena Jones, who scored 24 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jones has scored all season. Rylee Mann was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with three steals.

Concord pushed their record up to 8-10 with that win, which was their third straight at home. As for Plymouth, their loss dropped their record down to 9-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Concord will square off against Warsaw at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Warsaw knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Concord likes a good challenge. As for Plymouth, they will head out on the road to square off against Wawasee at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Wawasee focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven last Tuesday.
