Basketball Recap: North Garland Gets the Win

North Garland hadn't done well against Garland recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The North Garland Raiders came out on top against the Garland Owls by a score of 55-46. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Owls recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Garland lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Garang Gaiu, who posted four points along with nine blocks and eight rebounds. Those nine blocks gave Gaiu a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Ibeneme, who earned 12 points and six boards.

North Garland's win bumped their record up to 12-13. As for Garland, their loss was their tenth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-19.

North Garland wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 69-64 defeat against Wylie on the 7th. As for Garland, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-54 loss against Sachse on the 7th.
