Basketball Game Preview: Heritage Christian Patriots vs. Kingdom Prep Lutheran Wolfpack

The Heritage Christian Patriots will face off against the Kingdom Prep Lutheran Wolfpack at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Heritage Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Kingdom Prep Lutheran likes a good challenge.

Last Monday, Heritage Christian was able to grind out a solid win over St. John's Northwestern Military Academy, taking the game 73-66.

Heritage Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Marcus Seroyer led the charge by putting up 20 points along with eight steals and six boards. That's the most rebounds Seroyer has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Eddie Riebe, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten boards.

Heritage Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in three consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Kingdom Prep Lutheran played a tough contest on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 79-42 loss at the hands of Lake Country Lutheran. The defeat continues a trend for the Wolfpack in their matchups with the Lightning: they've now lost four in a row.

Kingdom Prep Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Heritage Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 7-10.

Heritage Christian won a match that couldn't have been any closer when the teams last played back in January of 2024, slipping by Kingdom Prep Lutheran 63-62.
