Volleyball Game Preview: Rockford Rams vs. Grand Haven Buccaneers + How To Watch

Rockford has gone 9-1 against Grand Haven recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Rams will welcome the Buccaneers at 7:00 p.m. Rockford is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.

On Thursday, Rockford made easy work of East Kentwood and carried off a 3-0 win.

Rockford walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-18, 25-17.

Rockford found their leader in sophomore Kaila VanDrie, who had seven digs and four aces. Those four aces set a new season-high mark for VanDrie.

Meanwhile, Grand Haven faced Hudsonville in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Buccaneers walked away with a 2-0 win over the Eagles. The victory continues a trend for the Buccaneers in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won three in a row.

While Grand Haven won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-21.

Grand Haven's win bumped their record up to 25-6. As for Rockford, their victory bumped their record up to 23-1.

Rockford was able to grind out a solid win over Grand Haven when the teams last played back in August, winning 2-0. Will the Rams repeat their success, or do the Buccaneers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
