Basketball Game Preview: Ridgeline Falcons vs. Kennewick Lions

The Ridgeline Falcons will head out on the road to face off against the Kennewick Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Ridgeline is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They put the hurt on Hermiston with a sharp 76-52 win. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 16th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 153rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ridgeline to victory, but perhaps none more so than Habiba Adam, who went 7-for-8 to rack up 18 points and five rebounds. Adam has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. Emma Myers was another key player, dropping a double-double with 12 points and 14 assists.

Ridgeline smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in four consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Kennewick humbled Cheney with a 69-26 victory.

Ridgeline's victory was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points over those games. As for Kennewick, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.

Ridgeline might still be hurting after the 63-42 loss they got from Kennewick in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Ridgeline avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
