Lone Grove entered their tilt with Sterling on Thursday with eight consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with nine. They put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 10-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Longhorns, who have now won 14 games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Lone Grove pushed their record up to 21-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Sterling, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lone Grove will host Newcastle at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Sterling, they will welcome Washington at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
