The Gulfport Admirals will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Harrison Central Red Rebels at 6:00 p.m. Gulfport will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Mississippi Rankings (they are ranked 155th, while Harrison Central is ranked 13th).
Gulfport suffered their biggest loss since December 12, 2023 on Tuesday. They were beaten by St. Martin 69-39. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Gulfport in their matchups with St. Martin: they've now lost seven in a row.
Even though Harrison Central has not done well against Biloxi recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Harrison Central secured a 41-36 W over Biloxi. The victory was just what Harrison Central needed coming off of a 53-27 defeat in their prior matchup.
Gulfport's defeat dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Harrison Central, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season.
