Soccer Game Preview: Saraland vs. Spanish Fort

The Saraland Spartans are taking a road trip to square off against the Spanish Fort Toros at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Saraland's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Saturday just wasn't the day for Saraland's offense. They fell just short of UMS-Wright Prep by a score of 1-0 on Saturday. The Spartans haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last matchup, Spanish Fort made sure to put some goals up on the board against Bayside Academy on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Admirals with a sharp 5-1 win. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Toros' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Spanish Fort's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Saraland, they now also have a losing record at 1-2.

Saraland suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Spanish Fort in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can Saraland avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
