Basketball Recap: Lift for Life Academy Takes a Loss

Lift for Life Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss dating back to last season. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 63-58 heartbreaker at the hands of the Whitfield Warriors. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hawks of the 52-34 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2023.

Lift for Life Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Whitfield, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Lift for Life Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 70-67 defeat against Confluence Prep Academy on the 20th. As for Whitfield, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 70-66 victory against Normandy on the 20th.
