Basketball Recap: St. John Bosco Academy's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

The third road game was the charm for St. John Bosco Academy, as they earned their first road win of the season. They walked away with a 40-32 win over the Highland Huskies on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Patriots as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Kylee Beck and Sheradyn Stamper certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Beck dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds, while Stamper posted eight points and five steals. Stamper is becoming a predictor of Highland's success: when she posts at least three steals the team is 4-2 (and 4-5 when she doesn't).

St. John Bosco Academy's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Highland, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-7.

St. John Bosco Academy will welcome Genesee at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Highland, they will square off against Timberline at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Highland is facing Timberline at the right time seeing as Timberline is stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
