Baseball Recap: Gallup Comes Up Short

Gallup was the 4-3 winner over Kirtland Central when they last played one another last Thursday, but their luck changed this time around. The Bengals fell 6-2 to the Broncos on Thursday. The Bengals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gallup saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Truitt Lewis, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Gallup's loss dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Kirtland Central, they pushed their record up to 7-13 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Gallup will take on rival Shiprock at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Kirtland Central is set to challenge their familiar foe Aztec at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
