Football Recap: Munday Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After soaring to 37 points the game before, Munday was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They had to suffer through a 79-6 loss at the hands of the Windthorst Trojans. The Moguls have struggled against the Trojans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Haiden Bowman threw for 96 yards and one touchdown. Jariyis Williams was his top target, picking up 73 receiving yards and one score.

Brock Belcher continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Windthorst, throwing for 321 yards and seven TDs while completing 79.3% of his passes, and also rushing for 61 yards. With that strong performance, Belcher is now averaging an impressive 302.8 passing yards per game. Adam Barton was in the mix too, providing Windthorst with two scores.

Munday's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Windthorst, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Munday is set to take on their familiar foe Haskell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Windthorst will face off against rival Archer City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 891 yards in their previous games.
