Sunset put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the Roosevelt Roughriders with a sharp 10-0 victory. The Apollos might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by six runs or more this season.

Keana Cooper made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Cooper was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Those three runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Sunset got a big performance out of Jordan Pe?a, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one triple. That triple marked the first that Pe?a hit this season. Another player making a difference was Maddy Larson, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Sunset kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits every time they've taken the field this season.

Sunset's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-0. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.6 runs over those games. As for Roosevelt, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Sunset has already played their next matchup, a 4-3 loss against McMinnville on the 1st. Roosevelt has also already played their next game (against Grant), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
