Basketball Recap: Covenant Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Covenant Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They received a blow as they fell 45-30 to the Mount Calvary Christian Chargers. Covenant Christian Academy lost against Mount Calvary Christian in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 82-41 score last time.

Josiah Masters was his usual excellent self, going 9 for 15 en route to 20 points in addition to eight boards and three steals for Mount Calvary Christian. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Masters has scored at least a third of Mount Calvary Christian's points. Another player making a difference was Jj Cuneo, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.

Covenant Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Mount Calvary Christian, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-8.

Covenant Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 43-22 loss against Dayspring Christian Academy on the 31st. As for Mount Calvary Christian, they have also already played their next game, a 58-47 victory against Harrisburg Christian on the 30th.
