Basketball Recap: Macks Creek Beats Fulton for Their Fourth Straight Win

Macks Creek came tearing into Sunday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took down the Fulton Hornets 47-32. Given the Pirates' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 58th, while the Hornets are ranked 429th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Macks Creek to victory, but perhaps none more so than Addison Ratliff, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine boards. Ratliff has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was India Willis, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.

Macks Creek's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-2. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 22.0 points per game. As for Fulton, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Macks Creek will face off against Climax Springs at 5:30 p.m. on January 21st. Fulton has already played their next game, a 78-49 defeat against Tipton on the 13th.
