Basketball Recap: New Hampton Takes a Loss

New Hampton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were beaten by the Forest City Indians 75-36. While losing is never fun, the Chickasaws can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 252nd, while the Indians are ranked 16th).

New Hampton's loss dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Forest City, their victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 22-1.

New Hampton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Forest City, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Waukon. Forest City knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Waukon likes a good challenge.
