Football Recap: Nitro Picks Up Seventh Consecutive Win

Nitro came tearing into Friday's matchup with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33.8 points), and they left with even more momentum. They enjoyed a cozy 23-6 win over the Greenbrier East Spartans. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wildcats also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Nitro to victory, but perhaps none more so than CHRIS RADCLIFFE, who rushed for 132 yards and one score while picking up 7.3 yards per carry. With that strong performance, RADCLIFFE is now averaging an impressive 100.8 rushing yards per game.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Nitro was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 228 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 151 rushing yards in four consecutive games.

Nitro's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. Greenbrier East's QB won't forget COHEN LUSHER anytime soon given he sacked him twice. LUSHER also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with 12. Nitro got some further help from XAVIER PATTERSON: he picked up a sack and made ten total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Nitro's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Greenbrier East, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.

As of now, neither Nitro nor the Spartans have any future games scheduled.
