Baseball Game Preview: Lawton Wolverines vs. Classen SAS Comets

The Lawton Wolverines will head out on the road to face off against the Classen SAS Comets at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Lawton came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 10-0 to Fletcher. The Wolverines haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Meanwhile, Classen SAS was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 23rd straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Santa Fe South, falling 12-0.

Classen SAS got a good showing from Guyjack Jones, who tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those zero hits allowed gave Jones a new career-low.

Classen SAS' loss dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Lawton, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-21.
