Basketball Game Preview: Southern Fulton Indians vs. Berkeley Springs Indians

Having just played yesterday, the Southern Fulton Indians will get right back to it and host the Berkeley Springs Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Southern Fulton has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Southern Fulton turned things around against Meyersdale on Monday. They strolled past the Red Raiders with points to spare, taking the game 60-43.

Gaven Mellott continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a double-double on 24 points and nine steals. He is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Trentin Cain was another key player, going 7 for 13 on his way to 18 points.

Southern Fulton was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

While Berkeley Springs didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They wrapped up 2024 with a 51-35 victory over Moorefield. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.

Berkeley Springs' win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Southern Fulton, their victory bumped their record up to 5-7.

Southern Fulton was able to grind out a solid win over Berkeley Springs when the teams last played back in December of 2024, winning 44-32. Does Southern Fulton have another victory up their sleeve, or will Berkeley Springs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
