            Football Recap: Weatherford Eagles vs. Cache Bulldogs        
        
		
        
        
            Weatherford won the last time they faced Cache and things went their way  on Friday too. The Eagles were the clear victors by  a  49-28 margin over the Bulldogs. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by 21  points or more this season.
 Noah Wald produced another solid  performance rushing for 221 yards and four  touchdowns while picking up 9.6 yards per carry, and also throwing for 125 yards and a pair of  TDs while completing 80% of his passes.

 Wald was just one part of a punishing run game: Weatherford was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 282  rushing yards. That's the most  rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.
The  win made it two in a row for Weatherford and  bumps their season record up to 5-1. The  victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 55.5 points over those games. As for Cache,  they are  on  a  six-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.
 We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Weatherford will  square off against  rival Elgin  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Meanwhile, Cache is set to  face off against  their familiar foe Bridge Creek  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
