Football Preview: Coosa Christian Conquerors vs. Isabella Mustangs
After each having a week off, the Coosa Christian Conquerors and the Isabella Mustangs will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Coosa Christian is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last eight games.
Coosa Christian is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Tuscaloosa Academy: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Conquerors blew the Knights out of the water with a 56-21 final score. The result was nothing new for the Conquerors, who have now won seven games by 26 points or more so far this season.
The match pitted two dominant signal callers against one another in Mac Long and Mark Norris. Long had a great game last Friday and rushed for 45 yards and three touchdowns. Meanwhile, Norris did his best for the losing side, throwing for 284 yards and one TD, while also punching in one score on the ground.
