Baseball Recap: Holton Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Holton duked it out with Falls City on Thursday. The Wildcats lost 9-1 to the Tigers. The Wildcats have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Holton saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cade Colberg, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. Another was Remington Bliss, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Holton now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Falls City, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.

Holton has already played their next matchup (against Sabetha), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Falls City, they are taking a road trip to take on Auburn at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
