Soccer Recap: Palmer Ridge Takes a Loss

Palmer Ridge and Mead pushed the score to 7-1 the last time they played Mead, but on Saturday defenses reigned supreme. The Bears fell just short of the Mavericks by a score of 1-0. The shutout was out of character for Palmer Ridge seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in March.

Palmer Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 9-3-3. As for Mead, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-2.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Palmer Ridge will welcome Standley Lake at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Palmer Ridge are facing Standley Lake at the right time seeing as Standley Lake are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Mead, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Thomas Jefferson at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
