Soccer Recap: Port Arthur Memorial Comes Up Short

Port Arthur Memorial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 11-0 to the Sterling Rangers. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 704th, while the Rangers are ranked 252nd).

Port Arthur Memorial's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Sterling, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-3.

Coming up, Port Arthur Memorial will head out on the road to square off against Lee at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sterling, they will be playing at home against Barbers Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Barbers Hill is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.2 goals per game this season.
