Wilkes Central's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Elkin, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Elkin was able to grind out a solid victory over Wilkes Central when the teams last played back in March of 2021, winning 22-14. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Buckin' Elks since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
