Baseball Recap: Easton Area Takes a Loss

Easton Area was the 8-1 winner over Northampton when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Rovers lost 11-5 to the Konkrete Kids on Wednesday.

Khamryn Singto was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he gave up only zero walks, the fewest he's had since back in March. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Kurtis Crossman was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles and one run. Max Martenis also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Easton Area's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Northampton, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Easton Area will take on Acton-Boxborough at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Northampton, they will challenge Liberty at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
