Softball Recap: Willis Wins Going Away Against Ingleside

Willis never got on the board in their matchup on Thursday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Ingleside on Friday. They blew past the Mustangs 11-2.

Hadley Lebow and Lilly Tharp did most of the damage at the plate: Lebow got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Tharp got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those four runs gave Tharp a new career-high. Abba Koenig was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run.

Willis always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ingleside only posted an OBP of .250.

The win got Willis back to even at 1-1. As for Ingleside, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Coincidentally, Willis and Ingleside will both be playing Lake Ridge the next time they take the field. The Wildkats will host the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Mustangs will host them at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
