Basketball Recap: Carrizozo Takes a Loss

Carrizozo was the 63-55 winner over Corona/Vaughn when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Carrizozo Grizzlies were just a bucket shy of victory on Thursday and fell 54-53 to the Corona/Vaughn Cardinals. The Grizzlies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Carrizozo's defeat dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Corona/Vaughn, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 3-18.

Coincidentally, Carrizozo and Corona/Vaughn will both be playing Alamo Navajo the next time they take the court. Carrizozo will head out to face Alamo Navajo at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, while Corona/Vaughn will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
