Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Norfolk). They enjoyed a cozy 58-42 victory over the Omaha Northwest Huskies on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Leading Norfolk to victory were Skylar Indra and Harper Fossum. Indra dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds, while Fossum posted 12 points in addition to six assists and six boards. Those 12 points gave Fossum a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Bo Caskey, who went 5 of 12 on her way to 11 points in addition to eight boards and four steals.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Norfolk was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Omaha Northwest only posted four assists.

When it comes to explaining why Omaha Northwest lost, don't look at Jessica Houston. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Abriya Watkins, who had seven points.

Norfolk's win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-7. As for Omaha Northwest, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8.

Norfolk wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 39-33 defeat against South Sioux City on the 11th. As for Omaha Northwest, they and Burke will meet in a canine-themed contest at 5:30 p.m. on January 17th.
