Basketball Recap: Airport's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Airport hadn't done well against Riverview recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Airport Jets skirted past the Riverview Pirates 60-58. Winning may never get old, but the Jets sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Several Pirates players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Averi Westbay, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and ten boards. Westbay is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 58% in the last three games she's played. Kate Patterson was another key player, putting up 17 points.

Airport's victory bumped their record up to 14-6. As for Riverview, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-9.

Airport has already played their next game (against Whiteford), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Riverview, they will challenge Woodhaven at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
